image16After falling in love with a special lil case named Baby Hope, I was devastated when Rescue Rovers Found her Furever Home outside of me. However considering it was my first dog, I understood her placement, but doubted I would ever find another companion as sweet as her. I searched pages and pages of shelters hoping to find the connection I felt with Baby Hope. Luckily Rescue Rovers stayed determined as well; countless pictures they would send and I would decline; “that’s not my pup!” At the brink of losing hope…metaphorically speaking…my Determined Foster Friend, Raquel, asked how my dog search was going and included the most adorable picture of a black pit mix named Salem. Something kept bringing me back to look at her picture; her perky ears, almond shaped eyes and sweet demeanor encouraged me to set up a meet and greet. Recluctanty I drove across the Valley to meet Salem and her litter mates, not expecting any promise of companionship. As soon as I got there, Salem welcomed herself on the couch next to me, as if to say, “I choose you” Raquel offered to take a picture of us, and although I was still unsure, I obliged. It was at that moment that Salem won my heart! She laid a big wet puppy kiss across my face! I brought her home the next week and we have been inseparable ever since! I am so grateful for Rescue Rovers for uniting me with Salem, who now goes by Harper. I am grateful for the family whom adopted Baby Hope, whilst instilling hope in me that with patience the perfect dog would come along. Little miss Salem Harper Jones is my brown eyed girl, and I can’t imagine my life without her, we were surely meant for each other, and if it weren’t for RR’s outstanding placement skills, who knows if would ever have each other
