Offcial Mascot_Wags&WalksThe Los Angeles-based rescue group, Wags and Walks, and Rescue Dogs the Movie have teamed up to find a forever home for Jenna, the absolutely adorable Staffordshire/American Pit Bull Terrier mix.

To assist in getting Jenna adopted, the nonprofit group and filmmakers have declared her the official Rescue Dogs Los Angeles mascot. Together, they intend to find Jenna a loving family to appreciate her cuddle-fests.

This stems from the film’s initiative to bring more awareness around rescue animals and to get homeless pets adopted. New Yorkers can visit sweet Rihanna at Second Chance Rescue, and Arizonans should say hello to cutie pie Hyde over at AAWL. For anyone in New Orleans, Kansas City, Chicago or Minneapolis—keep an eye out for many more available “mascot” pups to be announced later this week!1

Lesley Brog, founder of Wags and Walks, credits much of the group’s success to the core value of selecting “good, family-friendly dogs based on temperament rather than breed.” Every dog they rescue goes through a thorough temperament evaluation and even a ‘Lesley Test.’

Brog notes on the website, “Wags and Walks dogs are those that I would feel 100 percent comfortable having in my own home with my three little girls and my own two dogs.”

Our dear Jenna is about two-years old and was formerly used as a breeder dog. Since her rescue, she’s been spayed and is ready to finally be the one babied. Despite her 64-pound stature, Jenna thinks she’s a lap dog and won’t be told otherwise. According to her adoption page, “She is a happy, roly-poly, marshmallow hippo dog.

Wags and Walks pulled Jenna from a local shelter in the nick of time. She’s a staff and volunteer favorite, and has passed the temperament test with a resounding, “A.”2

Jenna seriously loves snuggling and hopes to be matched with her new best human friend soon. She walks well on a leash, is housebroken, and is great with other dogs. She currently resides with two other large dogs and her foster mom. She adores all humans and just wants to find a family to call her own. If you’re looking for a buddy to run around with on the beach, someone to put a smile on your face, or are in search of a “pillow dog,” Jenna’s the girl for you!

Wags and Walks and Rescue Dogs hope their partnership will ensure Jenna finds her fur-ever home as soon as possible. She’s up to date on vaccinations and has already been microchipped. Filmmakers will cover the young pup’s adoption fee.

To help #RescueJenna, please share her story. Let’s find this chubby sweetheart the family she deserves!
