Arizona Animal Welfare League & SPCA (AAWL) and Rescue Dogs the Movie have teamed up to find a forever home for an 18-month-old bull terrier mix by April 7.
The pairing emerged from the Arizona-based nonprofit’s partnership with the film for opening weekend in Phoenix.
The family film stars real rescue animals and shows the unconditional love and benefits rescue animals bring their owners. The movie premieres in Phoenix on April 1 and the filmmakers have partnered with AAWL for the week-long run, donating a portion of the producers’ box office directly to the charity.
AAWL will be at the theater during matinee showings on April 2 and 3 to provide information on animals available for adoption.
To assist in getting Hyde adopted, the nonprofit group and filmmakers have declared him the official Rescue Dogs Arizona mascot. Together, they intend to find Hyde a new family by the end of opening week, April 7. This is part of the film’s latest initiative to bring more awareness around rescue animals and to get homeless pets adopted.
AAWL’s mission statement is “to create a world where there are no homeless dogs and cats.” They hope the partnership will ensure Hyde finds his fur-ever home. Filmmakers will cover the young pup’s adoption fee.
“The amount of time these organizations put into saving animals’ lives is amazing,” Courtney Daniels, a Rescue Dogs producer, says. “We could not be happier to help them in their efforts.”
The dog-star of Rescue Dogs, Baron, is even an AAWL alumnus! Could Hyde be the next big rescue star to come from AAWL?
Hyde is patiently waiting to find his perfect family match. He enjoys car rides, hikes and Starbucks puppuccinos. If you’re looking for an adorable new best friend to offer a generous amount of puppy kisses, Hyde’s your guy. He’s a quick learner and loves to be around people and dogs.
Please share his story to help #RescueHyde. Let’s find sweet Hyde the family he deserves!
