On March 1, 2016, a puppy was brought into the San Jose Animal Care Center in critical condition. A good samaritan had discovered the pup two days before abandoned in a park and had attempted to bring it back to health by feeding her milk.
Veterinarians determined the tiny dog—weighing less than a pound—was hypothermic and hypoglycemic. Despite the odds of the small dog’s survival, they pressed on.
We’re happy to share that the adorable pup is now strong enough to eat, and is a firm believer in offering up puppy kisses! She is currently at Fred’s Friends and getting stronger every day.
