2Party Cat has come a long way since his rescuer, biker and sheet metal worker Pat Doody, first found him at a Nevada truck stop.

A New Jersey resident, Doody was biking cross-country on his motorcycle when he came across the injured orange tabby. The cat was homeless, hungry, and had some sort of burn marks. Doody fixed up the kitten, slipped him into his denim vest, hopped back on his bike and off they went.

Dubbed Party Cat, the tabby quickly bonded with Doody on the 2,500-mile journey back home. Along the way, the duo spent their nights sharing a tent. Doody purchased a stuffed monkey for Party Cat to snuggle, and the cat’s injuries healed well during the trip with the aid of “Neosporin, tuna, and love.”6

The pair even attended a rock ’n’ roll concert in Ohio, where Party Cat rocked the crowd.

Now home in New Jersey, Party Cat is happy and healthy. He even has a dog-sibling, Rosie.

“He’s so chill,” Doody said. “He just hangs out in my vest when we get on the road. I’ve never met a cat so calm.”
